How you can save £50,000 on this uber-luxurious electric limousine

Car changing is a big deal
This car blew me away when it first launched, and when you buy one second-hand you can save an absolute fortune.
The BMW i7 is one of the most luxurious electric cars you can buy. I remember driving it for the first time two years ago and being amazed at how something this big and heavy could handle so well on a twisty road, while still being supremely comfortable.

The only fly in the ointment really is the price, because the i7 starts from over £100,000, and this pushes well past £150,000 once you’ve gone for an M Sport version with some options added.
But there is a way to save yourself some serious cash if you’ve got your heart set on this electric limo – and that’s buying one second hand. I’ve found a 2024 i7 M Sport Pro with just 3,600 miles on the clock for £93,400. That car would’ve cost around £143,000 when it was new, so you’re saving yourself almost £50,000.
This is the xDrive 60 model, which means you get 544hp and it’ll do 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds. It’s also got 370 miles of range courtesy of a 105kWh battery – not quite as impressive as the 446 miles you can get from the Mercedes EQS, but still plenty for most people’s daily needs.
The car I found also has some desirable options fitted, most notably the massive 31-inch rear entertainment screen which drops down from the roof. You can use this to stream movies or watch Carwow videos as you’re chauffeured along (other YouTube channels are available).
The original owner of this car is probably crying through the massive hole in their wallet right now – it would’ve cost them close to £14 per mile in depreciation alone. But because they’ve taken this hit you can now enjoy a nearly-new luxury EV for a fraction of the price. Just be aware that it’s likely to continue tumbling in value after you’ve bought it.
