Citroen small car range: current models

Citroen currently offers the smallest car on sale in the UK — the tiny Ami — as well as a range of more conventional small cars.

Citroen Ami

The Ami is so small it’s not technically a car, it’s a quadricycle. It’s a tiny electric plastic two-seater, designed for driving only in town, with a top speed of 28 mph and a range of 50 miles. It’s either brilliant or mad, depending on your point of view.

Citroen C3 Origin

The older C3 Origin is staying on sale alongside the new electric and hybrid C3 to offer Citroen buyers a bargain-priced small car. The C3 Origin looks smart, has a very comfortable cabin, and is very relaxing — and economical — to drive.

Citroen C4

The Citroen C4 ducks the hatchback conventions by offering a touch of SUV-ish ground clearance, and a more stylish cabin than many rivals. The 1.2-litre petrol and hybrid engine options are very economical.

Citroen e-C4

Citroen’s e-C4 is one of the most affordable electric cars on sale, and offers ranges of between 220 miles and 260 miles, depending on the battery option you pick. It’s a very efficient electric car, but better suited to short journeys than long motorway runs.

Citroen small cars FAQs

Yes, actually. Citroen just finished fifth overall in the Auto Express Driver Power survey, which means it’s one of the most satisfying brands according to UK car owners. Only 15 percent of owners reported a fault with their Citroens.
Yes, the C3 is just 4.0 metres long, and it’s a competitor to the likes of the VW Polo, the Hyundai i20, and the Skoda Fabia, so it’s definitely a small car.
