Drag race: new Lamborghini Revuelto vs Ferrari SF90 vs Ferrari 296 GTB

The new Lamborghini Revuelto is the latest in a line of pin-up V12 supercars to come from the Italian brand, and it touts some seriously impressive performance stats.
But it’s time to answer the age-old question: Lamborghini or Ferrari – which is fastest? We’ve lined it up against an SF90 and a 296 GTB to find out.
New Lamborghini Revuelto
In a world of downsizing and turbocharging, the new Lamborghini Revuelto is still packing a naturally-aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine. It’s paired with three electric motors to make a combined 1,015hp and 1,062Nm of torque.
This is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and the big Lambo tips the scales at 1,700kg. Parking a Revuelto in your garage will set you back over £500,000.
Ferrari SF90 Stradale
The SF90 is a victim of that aforementioned downsizing, because the V12 engine from the LaFerrari has been replaced by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8. Like the Revuelto it has three electric motors, and the combined power output is 1,000hp and 800Nm of torque.
It also has four-wheel drive, and it’s slightly lighter than the Lamborghini at 1,570kg. It’sa bit cheaper as well at a ‘mere’ £400,000.
Ferrari 296 GTB
But can a Ferrari costing almost half that hold its own in this race? We’ve added in the 296 GTB to find out. It’s powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 with an electric motor, putting out a combined 830hp and 740Nm of torque to the rear wheels only.
It’s the lightest car here by far at 1,470kg, and it costs £240,000. Will that 100kg weight advantage prove to be enough to beat its bigger brother? Time will tell.
