  • New Hyundai Tucson on sale now
  • Priced from £32,000
  • Minor exterior styling updates
  • New infotainment system
  • Interior given a revamp as well

This is the new Hyundai Tucson, and it’s been given a minor styling update for 2023. It wasn’t exactly a conservative design before, but it now looks even more futuristic.

The interior has also been given a pretty thorough going over, with elements of the Ioniq 5 and the new Santa Fe found throughout.

New Hyundai Tucson price and specs

The updated Hyundai Tucson is available to order now, with prices starting from £32,000. That’s a marginal increase over the outgoing car, and it’s a couple of thousand pounds more than the mechanically-similar Kia Sportage. It does undercut the Volkswagen Tiguan on price though, and the Peugeot 3008 is more expensive as well.

There are five trim levels available from launch: Advance, Premium, N Line, N Line S and Ultimate.

New Hyundai Tucson Advance: from £32,000

The new Tucson range kicks off the with Advance, and it comes pretty well-equipped as standard. All cars get a pair of 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging and dual-zone climate control. Step outside and you’ll find 17-inch alloy wheels and roof bars.

New Hyundai Tucson Premium: from £34,500

Stepping up to the Premium model adds a handful of tasty upgrades including heated half leather seats, a heated steering wheel, a power tailgate and rear window blinds. You also get 18-inch alloy wheels and Tucson branded kick plates.

New Hyundai Tucson N Line: from £34,500

Those looking for a sporty flavour in their family SUV will be drawn to the N Line. It costs the same as the Premium, but you get a more aggressive-looking body kit, 19-inch alloy wheels and red accents across the exterior. You also get heated sport seats, although they don’t have electric adjustment like the Premium trim does.

New Hyundai Tucson N Line S: from £37,000

The N Line S builds on the sporty N Line trim by adding some desirable upgrades like electrically adjustable and ventilated seats, heated rear seats, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof and LED Matrix headlights.

New Hyundai Tucson Ultimate: £37,000

The Ultimate trim offers much of the same equipment as the N Line S, however it doesn’t have the same aggressive styling. You do get a memory function for the electric seats, and they’re not the same sport seats as you get in N Line cars.

New Hyundai Tucson design

The Hyundai Tucson has always been one of the most unique-looking family SUVs on the market, and this new one builds on this with some minor styling tweaks.

The main difference you’ll notice is up front, where there are some new LED headlights on show. They have a more squared-off shape than before, and the grille has been re-shaped as well.

There’s not really much to report down the side. The Tucson retains its collection of bold creases and curves, although some new alloy wheel designs do appear to be on the cards. There aren’t any pictures of the rear of this car yet either, but a revised light bar and new bumpers are always a safe bet.

New Hyundai Tucson interior

The interior of the new Hyundai Tucson has been given a more comprehensive update to keep it looking just as modern when you step inside as it appears on the outside.

The highlight here is the new array of screens on the dashboard. Instead of getting a standalone infotainment screen in the centre console, there are now two displays behind one sheet of glass.

In addition to this, the touch sensitive buttons which used to be scattered across the dashboard have been replaced with some much cleaner-looking knobs, decluttering the dashboard nicely. The gear selector has also been moved up to the steering column, freeing up space in the centre for additional storage.
