If you value space and know the value of a pound, you’ll be amazed by just how little you’ll pay for this roomy estate
There aren’t all that many electric estates. So, if you have set your heart on a battery-powered load-lugger you don’t have an awful lot of choice.
Even at the full price, the MG5 is much more affordable than most electric estate cars. But you don’t have to pay full whack – not even close.
MG5 EV deals: save up to £13,332*
The MG5 EV usually starts from £30,995, but through Carwow you can buy it for £19,995. This makes it over £12,000 cheaper than a Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer Electric. In fact, it’s cheaper than most petrol-powered estate cars.
The biggest savings can be found on Trophy Long Range trim, with up to £13,332 off.
Don’t think you’ll be slumming it at this price. The Trophy has a digital dash, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, satellite navigation, 17-inch alloy wheels, leather-style upholstery, and heated front seats.
It’s not the sharpest car to drive and there’s quite a bit of wind noise at speed, but it would be churlish to moan too much at this price. The MG5 is great around town, with a smooth ride that puts some more expensive cars to shame. There’s a big boot, too, although we wish the back seats folded fully flat.
MG 5 EV alternatives
