Ferrari F60America – just look at it!

Car changing is a big deal
Dribble-worthy Maranello roadster will be the preserve of only the most wealthy of American Ferrari enthusiasts
Here at carwow we pride ourselves on offering a wealth of information to those in the market for new cars, helping everybody make the most informed judgements possible.
But we feel we’ve been neglecting a group of consumers recently. Namely, those who are in the market for a £1.56 million open-top Italian supercar. Well just to remind you lucky folk we haven’t forgotten about you, here is the new Ferrari F60America.
For the rest of you, feel free to gawp at the gorgeous photos.
This ultra-rare model has been produced to celebrate Ferrari’s 60th anniversay of business in North America, and takes inspiration from the 275 GTS4 NART Spider of 1967.
Mechanically, the F60America shares the vast majority of its components with the F12 Berlinetta. This means the same glorious 6.3-litre V12 sits under the bonnet, firing the car from 0-60mph in only 3.1 seconds.
The styling is unique to the F60, though. Finished in the classic Ferrari North America Racing Team livery, it comes exclusively in dark blue, finished with a single white stripe running along the centre of the car.
There are extensive changes to the front of the car, with a new bonnet, wings and ventilattion for the brakes. At the rear, the diffuser (an aerodynamic aid that produces downforce) has been tweaked, and leather-trimmed roll hoops are backed by carbon fibre ‘flying buttresses’ which run along towards the edge of the boot.
Inside, the interior recives a unique assymetrical design theme. In a nod to old Ferrari racing cars, the driver’s side of the cabin is trimmed in red leather and composite materials, while the passenger side is black. It’s all finished off with an American flag motif running down the centre of each seat.
So, for those in the market for such a car, we’re sorry that we’ve ignored you for so long. Oh, by the way, all ten of the F60Americas produced have sold out already. Sorry…
