  • Seven-seater electric SUV

  • 373 miles of range
  • May go on sale in 2026

The Skoda Vision 7S was revealed last year, and it was a look ahead to what you can expect from the brand in the coming years. Skoda has now confirmed that a production version of this car will go on sale in 2026.

This new seven-seater SUV will sit at the top of Skoda’s EV lineup, offering an alternative to cars such as the upcoming Kia EV9.

New Skoda Vision 7S concept design

The new Skoda Vision 7S previews an all-new design language for the brand, including a new Skoda logo which is spelled out across the bonnet.

The front of the car has a bold design with some T-Shaped headlights and a rugged-looking lower bumper. There’s also a gloss black panel between the headlights, and this could house sensors for the driver assistance systems.

Down the sides of the car there are some squared-off wheel arches and chunky black cladding, as well as a massive set of 22-inch alloy wheels. The flush-fitting door handles are par for the course on electric cars these days.

The off-roader appearance continues at the rear of the car, with the bumper emulating the one at the front of the car. You have T-shaped LED tail lights, as well as a large roof spoiler.

New Skoda Vision 7S concept interior

The Skoda Vision 7S concept’s interior is just as outlandish as the exterior. You have seating for seven people, and the interior can be moved about in different ways.

You have your usual driving mode, as well as a ‘Relax’ setting. This pushes the steering wheel away from you, the seats rotate and recline and the huge 14.6-inch screen rotates so you and your passengers can enjoy a film while waiting for the car to charge.

The overall design is pretty minimalistic, with only a few dials for the climate control to be found in the centre console. A digital drivers display is featured above the oblong steering wheel as well. As cool as this cabin is, you can expect it to be toned down a lot when the car reaches production.

New Skoda Vision 7S concept batteries

The Skoda Vision 7S is fitted with an 89 kWh battery pack, which gives it 373 miles of range. This is thanks in part to aerodynamic tweaks such as the closed-off alloy wheel design and the blanked-off grille.

This concept is also capable of 200kW fast charging, which will likely allow for a 10-80% top up in less than half an hour.

When can I buy a Skoda Vision 7s?

Skoda has confirmed that the new Skoda Vision 7S will spawn a production model in 2026, as part of plans to launch six new electric cars over the next three years.

As for price, it’s a bit early to out a price on this car yet. It’s likely to be an electric alternative to the Skoda Kodiaq, and may cost a fair bit more than that car. Expect a price tag of around £60,000.
