New Renault 4 revealed: a spacious and stylish electric car

Following the launch of the new Renault 5 last year, the French brand has rebooted another classic model. The new Renault 4 shares a lot of styling details with the original, however you won’t find an antiquated 600cc engine under the bonnet.

The new 4 is all-electric, powered by a single electric motor on the front wheels producing either 120hp or 150hp. It’ll also do up to 248 miles on a charge, and it’s surprisingly spacious inside for a car of this size.

We’ll be getting an all-new Citroen C5 Aircross in 2025, and this new concept car revealed at the Paris Motor Show gives you a first glimpse at what it’ll look like. It’s certainly a radical departure from the slightly forgettable current model.

And the bold new styling is only the start of the big changes, because under the skin it’ll be available with either petrol, hybrid or all-electric power courtesy of parts borrowed from the Peugeot 3008 and new Vauxhall Grandland.

New Citroen Ami facelift: cute quadricycle gets a makeover

And that’s not all from Citroen, because the dinky Ami quadricycle has also been given a slight makeover. The main changes have happened on the outside, where it’s gets new headlights and slightly tweaked bumpers.

A new Ami Buggy concept has also been unveiled. Like the current car, it’s a slightly raised version of the city runaround with chunky tyres and no doors, although this car has an accessory to hold a surfboard down the side.

New Citroen C4 facelift: revised styling for affordable hatchback

Rounding off the offerings from Citroen is a facelift for the C4 hatchback and the C4 X saloon. Both of these cars have been given a hefty makeover with sleek new headlights, revised bumpers and a simplified tail lamp design.

As before, you’ll be able to choose between petrol hybrid or electric versions of these cars, and the interior tech has been upgraded to include a new 7.0-inch digital driver’s display. Vehicle-to-load charging is also available for the first time, allowing you to power appliances from your car.

New Alpine A110 R Ultime: the £220,000 French sports car

An all-electric Alpine A110 is coming in a few years time, but for now we keep getting special edition versions of the current car. This is the A110 R Ultime, and it’s the most hardcore iteration of this sports car yet.

The 1.8-litre engine is putting out 345hp, a 45hp increase over the standard R, and 0-60ph is dealt with in 3.8 seconds. It also has uprated brakes, stiffer suspension, a sports exhaust and a new gearbox to handle the extra power. Just 110 of these cars will ever be made, and they wear an eye-watering price tag of £220,000 – £130,000 more than a standard A110 R.

New Mini John Cooper Works Electric: the EV hot hatch you’ve been waiting for?

This is the new Mini John Cooper Works electric, the quickest and sportiest version of the EV hatchback you can buy. It puts out 258hp from a single motor powering the front wheels, and 0-60mph is dealt with in 5.9 seconds – close to a second quicker than the Cooper SE.

It was revealed alongside the similarly high-performance Mini Aceman JCW, a slightly larger hatchback which uses the same electric motor. Being a bigger and heavier car, the 0-60mph sprint takes 6.4 seconds.

New Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron: a coupe version of the new electric SUV

Hot on the heels of the Audi Q6 e-tron, this is the swoopy Sportback version. It’s essentially the same as the standard car, meaning you get a 100kWh battery and up to 490hp from the SQ6 model, only it’s wrapped up in a more sporty-looking coupe body.

The slightly more aerodynamic shape does yield a bit more range, with this car able to travel for up to 402 miles on a charge compared to 392 miles in the standard car. The Q6 e-tron Sportback will go on sale on 21 November this year, with prices starting from £62,475.
