For years now the only way to get a Corvette in the UK was to import one from the US and live with the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car. Well now you can have this mid-engined American muscle car in right-hand drive thanks to a company called Lumen Automotive.
It’ll cost you just under £95,000 for a Corvette Stingray, which is about the same as you’ll pay for a specced-up BMW M4 and around £7,000 less than a Mercedes-AMG GT.

Until now your only option for a right-hand drive American muscle car was the Ford Mustang, but now Lumen Automotive will sell you a Corvette Stingray with the steering wheel on the right side for UK roads.
Your £95,000 gets you a 6.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine with 475hp and 613Nm of torque. Unlike every Corvette which came before, this one has the engine in the middle to give it a proper supercar vibe.
It’ll do 0-60mph in a blistering 2.9 seconds, making it over half a second quicker than a BMW M4 Competition. It’ll turn more heads than an M4 as well, not just because of its exotic looks but also because that V8 engine sounds phenomenal.

The supercar theme continues on the inside as well, because the Stingray feels like a special car to sit in.
The way the dashboard wraps around the driver feels properly sporty, as does the tall centre console separating you from your passenger. You also get a 12.0-inch infotainment system and a 14-speaker premium sound system as standard – not that you need to blast your music with that sonorous engine to listen to.
