Car changing is a big deal
You can save up to £8,000* on this great electric car, making it a brilliant and affordable way to get into EV life.
The high starting price of electric cars might be enough to put you off making the switch, but this funky-looking EV is a bargain when you buy through Carwow, with discounts of up to £8,000* available to make it cheaper than some small petrol-powered hatchbacks.
We’re talking about the MG4 EV. A previous Carwow Car Of The Year Award winner, this is a really tempting proposition if you fancy a crack at zero-emission motoring without spending a fortune.
MG4 EV savings through Carwow
The MG4 EV usually starts from £26,995, which is already pretty cheap for an electric car of this size. Buy through Carwow though and you can pick one up for just £22,245. That’s less than the smaller Vauxhall Corsa Electric.
The biggest savings can be had on the range-topping Trophy model, with discounts of up to £8,000 bringing the cost of that car down to £28,495.
MG4 EV specs and features
It’s not like you’ll feel short-changed on tech either. Every MG4 EV comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless phone mirroring, rear parking sensors, LED headlights, a digital driver’s display and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Go for that range-topping Trophy model and you get luxuries like a 360-degree camera system, heated leather front seats, a heated steering wheel, and wireless phone charging.
The cheapest MG4 has up to 218 miles of range, which will be plenty for most people’s daily commutes. If you’re looking to venture further afield, the Extended Range Trophy car will do up to 329 miles on a charge.
No car is perfect, and the MG4 is no exception. The infotainment system is a bit fiddly to use, you get quite a lot of road noise at speed and the rear visibility isn’t great either. It’s good fun to drive though, and it’s hard to argue with the value for money.
MG4 EV alternatives
If you fancy the MG4 EV, there are a few other models you could consider. Here are three of the best alternatives.
- BYD Dolphin: Offers similar value for money and loads of passenger space, but interior quality isn’t the best
- Cupra Born: Great to look at and sporty to drive, but quite a lot more expensive than the MG
- Vauxhall Mokka Electric: Funky styling and decent interior quality, but cramped in the back and a small boot.
