Nissan 7 seater range: current models
Here’s carwow’s take on Nissan’s seven-seat line-up.
Nissan X-Trail
The X-Trail SUV is now onto its fourth generation. Today’s car comes with five seats as standard, but you can choose to add a third row to bring the seat count to seven. Those extra seats are quite cramped, but handy for children or giving the odd lift. The first two rows are roomy, though, and the X-Trail is well equipped.
Nissan X-Trail e-Power
The X-Trail e-Power part of the name means this version of the X-Trail SUV comes with a clever and unusual hybrid system. The car has a petrol engine, but it never powers the wheels directly. Instead, it acts as a generator for an electric motor. Like the regular X-Trail, the e-Power is available with either five or seven seats. The third row is very cramped.
Nissan e-NV200
No, it’s not a van. The Nissan e-NV200 may be based on a commercial vehicle but in this guise it’s an electric MPV. Think of it as an alternative to the Peugeot E-Rifter or Vauxhall Combo Life Electric. There’s lots of space up front, okay space in the middle, but the back seats are quite cramped. The modest range means the e-NV200 is best-suited to town driving.
