Peugeot small car range: current models
Peugeot’s small car range mixes French style with useful practicality and low running costs thanks to impressive fuel economy.
Peugeot 108
The smallest Peugeot is a cousin of the Citroen C1 and the Toyota Aygo, and it’s truly small, with only a tiny 1.0-litre engine to power it. It’s light, though, so it feels zippy, and it’s so easy to drive around town. Hugely economical too.
Peugeot 208
The stylish 208 is one of the most striking-looking small cars around, that carries through to the interior which looks dramatic when most rivals go for plain and simple. The 208 is good to drive too, but the small steering wheel takes some getting used to.
Peugeot 308
Peugeot’s 308 is one of the most stylish small cars around, especially if you get it in one the strong colours on offer, such as bright red or dark metallic green. It looks great inside too, with a cabin that looks and feels more ‘premium’ than that of most rivals, and it’s rewarding to drive. You can choose from simple petrol or fuel-efficient hybrid power.
Peugeot e-208
The Peugeot e-208 is one of the easiest electric cars to live with. It has a decent range of up to 250 miles, it charges reasonably quickly at 100kW, and it’s super-smooth and surprisingly quick to drive. Pricey, though.
Peugeot e-308
The Peugeot e-308 shares its electric motor and battery with the Vauxhall Astra Electric, but the Peugeot is far more stylish and actually rather more fun to drive. The 250 mile range is OK, but some competitors offer more.
