About the Porsche Taycan

The Porsche Taycan is the electric elephant in the room of Porsche’s sports car range, because the Taycan isn’t just quieter and cheaper to run than Porsche’s other sports cars - it’s just about as much fun to drive as them too.

It looks like a Porsche of the future, with the classic silhouette nipped and tucked to fit the Taycan’s four-door layout. It’s got a low roofline, beautiful, curvy lines and drop-dead gorgeous proportions.

The interior is futuristic yet classically Porsche too. It’s super posh and high quality, but with a curved screen driver display and touchscreen infotainment and climate control displays.

It’s a four-seater, though you can spec a third rear belt for emergency journeys, and both the boot and under-bonnet storage are smaller than petrol-powered alternatives.

The Taycan is genuinely thrilling to drive, and while it may not be as agile as a Porsche 911 there’s masses of grip and incredible EV acceleration - all the while remaining super comfortable on the motorway.

Range varies from depending on which model you opt for, but long-distance drives are feasible with a little prior planning.

Why lease a Porsche Taycan?

Leasing a Porsche Taycan is a great choice if you’re after a quiet, comfortable saloon with stunning looks and proper sports car performance.

The right lease deal will have much lower monthly payments than a typical Hire Purchase (HP) deal, and the initial deposit price will be a fraction of what an outright cash purchase would cost.

The lower monthly payment price means that you’d be able to afford a higher-spec Taycan than you would on an HP deal too, especially given the numerous trim levels and options available from Porsche.

Leasing a Taycan would mean you avoid the massive depreciation that affects so many big, expensive electric cars on the second hand market - and when the lease term is over you could swap for another Taycan in a different spec, or change car altogether.

FAQs

The Porsche Taycan is subject to a £410 first year road tax rate for being a ‘luxury vehicle’ - worth over £40,000 when new. Electric vehicles are subject to a rate of £190 per year thereafter, which the Taycan falls under.
