Colour guide
Solid - Arkona white
Free
Arkona White is a free colour, and it does look a bit basic because the solid paint doesn't have as much sparkle as a metallic paint. However, if you get a model with black trim pieces it can look quite smart with the contrast.
Solid - Brilliant black
Free
It’s a no-cost option and won’t show up dirt easily. The solid paint finish gives the A3 saloon a mature demeanour, and black is a firm favourite on the second-hand market. Just make sure you don’t leave any swirl marks after washing or polishing it as it can be very visible.

Metallic - District green
£595
Green probably isn't the first colour choice for most people, but District Green is actually one of the smartest shades you can get for the A3 Saloon. It's a dark, sophisticated paint that works really well.
Metallic - Glacier white
£595
Glacier White is a more upmarket looking version of the no-cost Arkona White colour thanks to its metallic finish. It will be just as popular with used car buyers but it also shows dirt more readily than darker hues.
Metallic - Manhattan grey
£595
Manhattan Grey is a dark and sophisticated colour with a subtle metallic shine. It looks good on the A3 saloon and contrasts well with the silver trim finish used on the base Sport trim. This dark hue hides dirt well and is a popular colour with new and used buyers.
Metallic - Mythos black
£595
A great option if you like the idea of a black car but want a bit of extra sparkle in the paintwork. Mythos Black metallic also conceals road grime well and is one of the most popular colours with used car buyers.
Metallic - Navarra blue
£595
Navarra Blue is both sporty and elegant. It accentuates the exterior silver trim details and gives the A3 saloon a distinctly more upmarket look. It may show scratches and dings more easily than lighter colours, but that shouldn’t dissuade you from what is one of the best colour options on offer for this sporty little saloon.
Metallic - Progressive red
£595
Metallic - Python yellow
£595
If you want to find your car easily in a crowded car park then Python Yellow is the colour for you. IT certainly accentuates the A3 saloon’s sporty look, but you may have trouble convincing used car buyers of its merits.
Pearl - Arrow Grey
£595
Arrow Grey is a light shade that gives the A3 Saloon a smart, under the radar appearance without having to pick one of the darker alternatives. The pearl effect means it's rather eye-catching in the sun, too.
Pearl - Daytona grey
£595
Daytona Grey is a dark colour that stands out thanks to its pearl effect finish. It looks premium yet understated and won’t show up grime and dirt all that easily. It’s also subtle enough to appeal to used car buyers.
Special metallic - Ascari blue
£895
Ascari Blue is a lighter shade than Navarra Blue and has a slightly sportier edge, though it's only offered on S line and Black Edition models.
Audi Exclusive - Custom
£4,000
Want something a bit more special? For a chunky fee you can have one of the Audi Exclusive paint jobs, which now also includes a variety of matte finishes that were previously reserved for the firm's more exclusive models. It's a pricey extra on a car like the A3, but if you really want to stand out it's a great way to do so.
