Sport may be the entry-level model in the Q8 e-tron range, but this is still a very luxurious car. Leather upholstery, heated front seats with electrical adjustment, two-zone climate control, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit, and satellite navigation are all standard. There’s also a long list of safety kit and driver aids. Adaptive air suspension is included in the price too.

Step up from Sport to S line spec, and the Q8 e-tron’s alloy wheels grow from 20 to 21 inches. Adaptive sport air suspension is another upgrade, along with more aggressive S line styling. The interior comes with stainless steel pedals, sports seats in valcona leather, and illuminated door sills with aluminium inserts.

Black Edition looks suitably mean, thanks in part to its black 21-inch alloy wheels. The exterior features gloss black styling, black door mirrors, and black roof rails (SUV only). Inside, the inlays are mesh anthracite, and there’s a three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel.

For the ultimate Q8 e-tron, choose Vorsprung specification. It’s fully loaded and then some. Huge 22-inch alloys add more visual impact, and the door mirrors are replaced with cameras (which Audi calls ‘virtual door mirrors’). The headlights adapt their beam pattern depending on the road and steering angle, there’s a panoramic roof, powered door closure, and adaptive windscreen wipers. Inside, you’ll find four-zone climate control, additional leather upholstery, an uprated sound system and a whole lot more.
