As far as plain, solid whites go Citroen’s Polar White is a decent enough one, and the e-C4’s shape is interesting enough, and comes with enough contrasting colour body parts, that it doesn’t look too boring.

Metallic - Caramel brown
£545
Metallic - Cumulus grey
£545
Metallic grey might be something of an obvious colour choice, but it does work well on the e-C4, especially as the electric model’s blue body highlights blend in nicely.
Metallic - Iceland blue
£545
Arguably the best colour for the e-C4, and the one that Citroen chose for all the publicity shots. It’s a bright and cheerful colour, but the metallic finish gives it a touch of class. Works considerably better on a sunny day than on a dull one, though.
Metallic - Perla nera black
£545
This could be just a basic, plain metallic black but there’s something about a shiny black on a Citroen that just has us thinking about classic 1950s Citroen DS models, and so this metallic Perla Nera shade actually works rather well.
Metallic - Platinum grey
£545
Platinum Grey is basically Cumulus Grey with the brightness turned down a bit. To be honest, it’s a bit of a boring colour, and the darker shade takes away some of the warmth that Cumulus Grey has.
Metallic - Eclipse blue
£595
Pearlescent - Pearl White
£700
Clearly, being a metallic finish, this has a bit more life to it than the basic, free, Polar White, but we feel it’s not quite enough of an improvement to justify its expensive gap to the no-cost option.
Premium metallic - Elixir red
£700
Elixir Red is another pricey option for the e-C4, but it’s one that works much better than Pearl White, with a truly glossy finish that’s bright enough to be striking but dark enough to be classy. Works best with darker alloy wheel finishes.
