Colour guide

Solid - Sonic grey Free

Sonic grey is a really strong choice for a free paint, and it morphs — depending on the light — from a fashionable ‘primer’ matte grey to a dusky denim blue. The Civic has quite quiet styling, but this colour really lifts it.

Premium paint - Crystal black £650

Often, black can hide the styling of a car so much that it’s actually difficult to see what it looks like. The Civic’s plain styling actually helps here, as there’s not all that much to hide so the black just ends up looking smart and classy.

Premium paint - Platinum white £650

White can often be a tricky colour, but on the Civic this Platinum paint works really well — maybe it’s the memory of all those white racing Hondas and Type-R models of old that helps it, but it looks very smart in this shade.

Premium plus paint - Crystal blue £975

Again, Crystal blue is a very bright, vibrant, and sporty-looking paint that is possibly writing cheques that the fuel-sipping hybrid model can’t cash. Possibly best saved for the Type-R version instead.
