Solid - Sand khaki
Free
As the only no-cost colour option available on the HR-V, Sand Khaki still makes for a classy option. This beige colour comes with striking silvery undertones, and complements the HR-V’s unique styling well. It’s offset nicely by the black lower bumpers, and really looks the part when applied to the SUV’s front grille. Chances are it’ll be pretty easy to keep looking clean too.

Two tone solid/metallic - Sand khaki with Crystal black roof
Free
Opt for the range-topping Advance Style trim, and your HR-V will get a contrasting black roof as standard. In this application, the Crystal black paint coats the roof, and extends down the HR-V’s A-pillars. This looks really snazzy when played off against the no-cost Sand Khaki exterior colour, and will likely prove a popular choice on the used market. You won’t have a hard time keeping it clean, either.
Premium plus - Sunlight white
£325
Metallic - Crystal black
£650
While this shade of Crystal Black is certainly an attractive colour, it does absorb a fair amount of the HR-V’s interesting styling cues, leaving it look a touch heavy. Still, this conservative colour option will no-doubt prove to be a popular option amongst used buyers - but while the car remains in your possession you’ll likely find that you have to put a fair amount of effort into keeping it looking clean.
Metallic - Meteoroid grey
£650
This classy shade of Meteoroid Grey features some pretty vivid undertones of blue, lending the HR-V and attractively premium look. It contrasts nicely against the SUV’s black bumpers, and should allow your HR-V to hold its value well. It might be slightly trickier to keep looking clean and fresh than the lighter Sand Khaki option, but it’ll mask dirt far better than black or white colour options.
Metallic - Platinum white
£650
White can be a tricky colour to match cleanly with an SUV, but thanks to the HR-V’s futuristic styling Platinum White works to pretty striking effect. It catches the sun nicely, and its application on the car’s front grille is a nice touch. Of course, it’ll show up a huge amount of dirt in winter, so you’ll have to spend a bit of time to keep it looking its best.

Two tone - Crystal black with Silver roof
£650
If you’re sold on the idea of speccing your HR-V in Crystal Black, pairing that body colour with a contrasting Silver roof is definitely the right way to go about it. Without the contrast roof, which extends all the way down the A-Pillar, a black HR-V can look a bit too solid and bulky, but here that’s definitely not the case. The Silver roof really stands out, and makes for an exceptionally classy colour choice. It’s only available on range-topping Advance Style models, though.
Two tone - Meteoroid grey with Crystal black roof
£650
If you specify your HR-V in range-topping Advance Style trim, you get a contrasting roof as standard. When paired with the deep grey-blue tones of Meteoroid Grey, the black roof lends the HR-V an attractive, upmarket look. The Crystal Black colour covers the roof, and extends down the length of the A-Pillar - which helps the car’s silver roof rails really stand out. Chances are this will be a popular colour choice on the second-hand market.
Two tone - Midnight blue beam with Silver roof
£650
Midnight Blue Beam with a contrasting Silver roof is arguably the stand-out colour choice for the Honda HR-V, but you’ll have to opt for the range-topping Advance Style trim level if you want to get it. Next to the deep blue tones of the body work, the silver roof really makes the HR-V pop. The Silver colouring extends down the length of the car’s A-Pillar, and complements the chrome exterior brightwork to striking effect.
Premium plus - Crystal red
£975
Premium plus paint - Crystal red
£975
This vibrant shade of Crystal Red works to pretty stunning effect on the HR-V, but it’s only available on entry-level Elegance and mid-range Advance trim levels. If you’re after a colour that’ll make your family SUV stand out from the crowd, this is the one to go for. That said, as it’s not the most conservative colour you could opt for, it might not prove quite as popular on the used market as black, white or grey options might.
Premium plus paint - Sunlight white
£975
With a striking pearl-effect finish, Sunlight White looks properly impressive when exposed to direct sunlight, and makes for a smart-looking contrast against the HR-V’s black and chrome exterior trim elements. As far as residual values are concerned, it should help your HR-V to perform well, but it will potentially be a bit of a pain to keep clean over the winter months.
