Colour guide
Pearl - Mangrove green
Free
Mangrove green is one of Hyundai's signature colours. It's a really cool, modern shade a bit like a mint green with an interesting pearl finish. It stands out without being too shouty.
Solid - Atlas white
£300
Although Atlas white might not feature any special metallic or pearl-effect finish, this solid shade of paint still looks very smart when applied to the i20 - particularly if you go for one of the higher-spec models with larger alloy wheels. As a white car, it should hold its value well for when the time to sell comes around too - although you’ll have a hard time keeping it clean in winter.

Two tone pearl - Mangrove green with black roof and door mirror
£500
Metallic - Lucid lime
£600
Small cars don't come much more eye-catching than the i20 in Lucid lime. This is the car's signature colour, so you'll see it in promotional materials after the 2023 facelift. It's a bold, bright shade that really stands out - but it is definitely divisive.
Pearl - Aurora grey
£600
Aurora grey is easily one of the more conservative colour options you could go for with your i20, but that’s no bad thing. This reserved shade brings a classier, upmarket appearance to the i20 than what you might get if you went for one of the brighter colour options, and should also prove to be a popular option on the used market too.
Pearl - Dragon red
£600
Fancy a sportier look for your Hyundai i20? This deep shade of Dragon red could be a good shout. With a pearl-effect finish it looks great in direct sunlight, and paired with the larger alloy wheels you get on higher-spec models it lends the i20 an attractively athletic appearance. It might not prove as popular on the used market as more conservative shades such as grey or silver, though.
Pearl - Lumen grey
£600
Lumen grey is slightly more interesting than it sounds thanks to the pearl finish, which gives it a really nice sheen in the sunlight. It's halfway between a white and a grey, to our eyes. However, it will start to look dirty much quicker than darker shades would.
Pearl - Meta blue
£600
Meta blue is a nicely discreet shade that looks good on the i20. It's not too shouty but it's a lot more interesting than opting for a monochrome.
Pearl - Phantom black
£600
Phantom black is the colour to go for if you want your i20 to slip under the radar. It’s an attractive shade, for sure, and helps to make the aggressively-styled i20 appear all the more aggressive. Being a black car, however, it goes without saying that it’s going to show up all of the road grime and dirt in the winter, so be prepared to spend a bit of time keeping it clean.
Pearl - Vibrant blue
£600
Vibrant blue actually looks almost purple under some light, an effect of the pearl paint finish. It's not too bright and suits the i20's sharp lines really well.
