Colour guide
Pearl - Phantom black
Free
This mean looking shade of black really gives the Hyundai i30 N a menacing edge, and allows the contrasting red exterior trim pieces around the front bumper to really stand out. Just be aware that while this hot Hyundai might look the part in all black, it will show up quite a lot of muck and grime come winter time - so be prepared to keep it clean.

Solid - Engine red
Free
Engine Red is the only no cost option available on the Hyundai i30 N, but that’s no bad thing. As a solid colour it doesn’t feature any snazzy metallic sparkles in its paint work, but this vibrant red shade still manages to really stand out. The contrasting lower black bumpers and side skirts look particularly menacing against the red body work too.
Special solid - Atlas white
£325
When it comes to hot hatch colour schemes, white always makes for an excellent choice - and Hyundai’s Atlas White is no exception. This eye-catching colour really stands out against the darkened alloy wheels and exterior trim pieces, and the allows your eye to be drawn to the red stripe of colour that runs along the top edge of the front bumper. It’ll be a pain to keep clean in winter, though.
Pearl - Dark knight grey
£610
Although Dark Knight Grey might not be quite as in-your-face as the Sunset Red or Performance Blue colour options, it’s still a shade that the i30 N wears incredibly well. This darker shade of grey lends the i30 N a more discreet image, but one that still manages to provide visual contrast with the car’s darkened wheels and bumpers. It’ll likely prove a popular choice on the used market, too.
Pearl - Sunset red
£610
Sunset Red is a slightly darker shade than the no-cost Engine Red option, but its pearlescent effect means it looks incredible when exposed to direct sunlight. That said, it’s worth pointing out that the bright strip of red that runs along the lower front bumper on differently-coloured i30 N models is absent here - largely because the two shades of red would probably look jarring against one another.
Special solid - Performance blue
£610
Performance Blue is the flagship colour for the i30 N, and is arguably the most popular colour choice that you could make. This light, powdery pastel shade really stands out in a crowd, and chances are it’ll be in high-demand on the used market too. You really get the sense that this is the colour the i30 N was designed to wear, for the simple reason that it looks fantastic.
Special solid - Shadow grey
£650
For a stealthy look that’ll help you fly under the radar, go for the Shadow Grey option. This unique colour doesn’t feature any metallic or pearlescent element to it, but on a sporty car such as the Hyundai i30 N it really just works. It shouldn’t be too hard to keep looking clean either, and along with Performance Blue it should attract plenty of attention when it’s time to sell.
