Colour guide
Pearl - Soultronic orange
Free
Soultronic Orange is the only free colour available for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, but it's no boring shade. In fact, it's one of the best options for this hot hatch – it's a fiery red/orange mix that suits its high-performance characteristics.
Metallic - Cyber grey
£700
At the opposite end of the scale is Cyber Grey. This is a paid paint, but don't think that because it's grey it's a dull option. In fact, paired with the contrasting black and red trim pieces, this is a cool, modern shade that suits the car really well.

Pearl - Abyss black
£700
Abyss Black is one of the less exciting options, though it's a good choice if you don't want to shout about the fact this is a high-performance car. The red trim in particular does rather give the game away, though.
Pearl - Ecotronic grey
£700
There's not a huge difference between Ecotronic Grey and Cyber Grey, but this paint is a bit darker, which goes some way to giving the Ioniq 5 N a more aggressive appearance than the lighter alternative.
Special solid - Atlas white
£700
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is a big car, and as with many big cars it looks a bit awkward in white. It's not too bad from the front where you have the grille and headlights to break it up, but particularly from the side profile it can look like a big old slab in white.
Special solid - Performance blue
£700
Performance Blue is Hyundai N's signature colour, and to our eyes it's the best option for the Ioniq 5 N. It's the colour you'll see in all of the marketing materials and the photography in this review, and it just works so well with the car's design. As a result it will be popular, so perhaps choose another option if you don't want to follow the crowd.
Matte - Atlas white
£900
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is also available with matte options for some paints. Atlas White looks a bit better in matte, because the flat sheen on the bodywork adds some intrigue. Other options suit the car better, though.
Matte - Ecotronic grey
£900
With Ecotronic Grey already being a darker, more aggressive shade for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, it works really well in matte. As with other matte paints it's more expensive and tougher to clean than the regular options, though.
Matte - Performance blue
£900
Performance Blue is our favourite Hyundai paint and going for the matte option is a good way to make it stand out from the regular version. It's worth paying for if you can afford the extra cost and like the matte effect.
