Colour guide
Metallic - Ultimate red
Free
Red can be a great colour to match swooping rooflines and funky designs, but for us, this doesn’t quite work. A darker red would have been better suited, as the bright red looks like it’s just been taken from Microsoft Paint.
Additional Metallic - Curated silver
£700
A safe choice to say the least. It helps show off the design of the Ioniq 6, highlighting the face and creases across the bodywork. It will also help with resale. Don’t pick this if you want to stand out from the crowd, but it’s smart enough.

Additional Metallic - Nocturne grey
£700
Much like the Biophilic Blue, this Nocturne Grey is a good alternative to having black as your paint choice. It shows off the black and silver contrast pieces, while also being simple to look after. It’s not the most exciting choice but it will help the car hold its value.
Additional Pearl - Abyss black
£700
This is a pretty basic choice for the Ioniq 6. Yes, it looks smart and clean, but it’s not very exciting. You’ll fly under the radar with this option though, and for some that might be preferred. It’ll be easy to look after too, hiding a lot of grime very easily.
Additional Pearl - Biophilic blue
£700
As an alternative to black, this dark blue looks really nice in the light, but isn’t too outlandish and bold like the other blue option. It doesn’t show a lot of the contrast detailing, but the silvery trim pieces and white Hyundai logo do stand out, as well as the daytime running lights.
Additional Pearl - Serenity white
£700
If you want a car that looks like it should be alongside your dishwasher and fridge, this is the colour for you. The pearly effect will look nice in the sunlight and it will allow the car to do well on the resale market with a neutral colour. But it will be a pain to keep clean.
Additional Pearl - Transmission blue
£700
Marketed as blue, this option is closer to Audi’s Nardo Grey. It certainly works though and will hold its value well as a more neutral colour. Trickier to keep clean than other options, it manages to show off the contrast trim pieces as part of the design without being too boring.
Matte - Gravity gold
£900
Rather than having it in silver, this Gravity Gold has a nice tint to it that could be a nice alternative. Costing £100 more than the silver option, it will be tricky to look after and won’t return the same investment if you sell it on, but it is something a bit different.
Matte - Nocturne Grey
£900
Offered with a duller finish than the metallic option, Nocturne Grey looks rather nice on the Ioniq 6. It’s not very exciting, but it suits the modern aesthetic of the car very well. Keep an eye out for bird poo and other grime as you’ll need to look after this to prevent damage.
