Colour guide
Metallic - Mars Orange
Free
Mars Orange is a strong colour to have as your no-cost option, but the Soul’s concept-car looks carry it off rather nicely. One wonders if the ‘Mars’ reference is a sly dig at another well-known electric car manufacturer? Either way, this is the only Soul colour option which doesn’t come with a contrast-colour roof.
Premium two tone metallic paint - Fusion Black with Inferno Red roof
£745
The Soul’s very distinctive lines wear a dark colour, like black, rather well so this is a car that doesn’t end up getting washed out by going this dark. As with the white option, the contrast roof and mirrors really add a bit of extra visual interest.

Premium two tone metallic paint - Inferno Red with Fusion Black roof
£745
Inferno Red is a particularly strident, fire-engine red, one that doesn’t have a darker, more burgundy-like finish to it as many modern car red paint options do. On a shape such as the Soul’s, that really stands out but while it might seem a bit overwhelming, the black roof and mirrors tend to calm everything down just a little, so it ends up as a very satisfying shade.
Premium two tone metallic paint - Neptune Blue with Fusion Black roof
£745
Neptune Blue is a very bright, metallic blue and while it works well on the Soul’s distinctive shape, we can’t help thinking that there was room in the lineup for a slightly more subtle, classy shade of blue. Neptune Blue is a good look if you want tot turn heads, but it would be nice to have a slightly more discreet option.
Premium two tone metallic paint - White with Inferno Red roof
£745
This is, hands-down, the best colour combo for the Soul EV, or at least it is if you’re a sci-fi fan. That’s because the Soul looks like a Star Wars Stormtrooper when finished in white, and the red roof and door mirror caps add a welcome dash of contrast to the white finish. Even if you’re not into sci-fi, this is a very satisfying colour combo which really suits the Soul.
