Colour guide
Metallic - Graphite grey
Free
As the name implies, Graphite grey is a very dark colour, to the point it could be confused for a metallic black in dusky conditions. It’s also a decent pick for the E-Class Estate - Graphite grey is an inoffensive colour which also contrasts very well with the shiny trim pieces on the E-Class’ bodywork. Dings and scrapes show up like a proverbial sore thumb on this colour, though, so avoid it if you’re no good at parking in tight spaces.
Metallic - High tech silver
Free
Shades of silver have always been good fits on the E-Class, and High tech silver is no exception. This bright metallic paint has a classy shimmer to it on bright sunny days, yet it’s also inoffensive enough to not attract unwarranted attention. Light silvers do a poor job at hiding grubby marks, though, so you’ll need to wash it regularly to keep it looking pristine.

Metallic - Nautic blue
Free
One of the few non-monochrome colours on the E-Class Estate, Nautic Blue is also an interesting colour option for the Mercedes. The dark tone of this navy blue helps give the car a classy look, and overall works well on the car. Be prepared for regular car washes, though, as this colour isn’t great at hiding dirt marks or dings in the paintwork.
Metallic - Obsidian black
Free
Obsidian black is the only paint you can have for free on the E-Class Estate, and even if you can afford the other colours it’s still worth considering. Being a metallic paint, it sparkles quite nicely in bright sunlight, and it contrasts nicely with the car’s shiny exterior trim.
Metallic - Velvet brown
Free
Brown isn’t the most in-vogue car colour right now, so don’t be surprised if E-Class Estates in Velvet Brown end up being very rare indeed. However, if it’s a colour you love, by all means order the E-Class in this colour. Being a brown, it should be able to hide mud splatter marks fairly well, too.
Metallic - Verde silver
Free
This is one of the many grey/silver spectrum colours on the E-Class Estate, though Verde Green’s ever-so-slight green tinge makes it a bit more interesting to look at. As a result, this is a good paint to pick if you’re after a safe and sensible shade that’s also a bit different to the norm.
Manufaktur metallic - Opalite white bright
£695
White isn’t the most adventurous colour option on the E-Class Estate, though the car does admittedly look quite smart in the Opalite white shade you see here. As with all white paints, it will require regular cleaning to stay in its shiny best, and do also bear in mind this is one of the pricier colours you can spec on the E-Class.
Manufaktur metallic - Patagonia red
£695
Metallic red won’t be every E-Class Estate buyer’s cup of tea, so don’t expect to see too many of them on your travels in this colour. However, if you want the most eye-catching E-Class Estate possible, then Patagonia Red will do just the trick - it works especially well with the sporty styling of the AMG Line models.
Manufaktur solid - Alpine grey
£695
If you want an E-Class Estate in a light grey, then Mercedes has you covered with the shade of Alpine grey you see here. For sure, the car has more exciting colour options (as well as more affordable ones…), but if you’re after a metallic grey with a shiny finish to give your E-Class a classy look, then this colour does that job pretty well.
