Are consumers increasingly considering Chinese brands?

Over the past three years, we have surveyed over 3,500 UK vehicle owners with the question, "Would you consider a Chinese brand for your next car?"
Here’s what they had to say:
Notably, the 5% increase in consideration for Chinese car brands between 2023 and 2024 is primarily driven by the following top three factors, which also represent the biggest gains compared to 2023:
- Better value for money (up 4%)
- Improved and more advanced technology (up 4%)
- Wider selection of EV models (up 3%)
These factors indicate that Chinese brands are successfully aligning with UK consumer priorities, particularly in affordability, innovation, and sustainability, making them increasingly competitive in the market.
