Special solid - Bianca white

White is usually a pretty safe choice for a little hatchback, and the 208 is no exception. It gives the car a bit of a hot-hatch performance look, and the black wheelarch surrounds that come on range-topping GT models really stand out in strong contrast to the white paint. Of course, it’ll be a bit of a pain to keep looking clean and shiny over the winter, though.

Special metallic - Cumulus grey
£750
It might be called Cumulus Grey, but this particular shade of paint is actually a bit closer to a light silver in colour. It looks very smart on the Peugeot 208’s attractive bodywork, and should be relatively easy to keep looking clean and shiny over the winter months too. Silvers and greys also make for a safe bet in terms of maintaining a car’s residual values.
Special metallic - Nera black
£750
Though Nera Black is an attractive colour in its own right, and the metallic-effect finish will look striking in the sun, when applied to the 208 it does have the effect of making this dinky little hatchback look rather more bulky and boxy than it actually is. It will be tricky to keep looking fresh and clean in winter, too, but at least you won’t have to worry too much about how its residual values will perform.
