Colour guide
Porsche solid - Black
Free
Black is, well, black. If you want your Cayman to fly under the radar then this is the shade to go for. It perhaps makes this excellent little sports car appear a bit heavier and bulkier than a lighter shade might, but that’s not to say it doesn’t look great. Just know that it’ll show up any dirt and scratches you might pick up, however.
Porsche solid - Guards Red
Free
Guards red is an iconic Porsche colour, and it’s unsurprisingly one that the Cayman wears incredibly well. Sports cars and red just go together really well, don’t they? It’ll probably do a reasonable enough job of masking any winter road grime and dirt, and chances are it’ll prove popular among used buyers too.

Porsche solid - Racing yellow
Free
There’s no way around it, Racing yellow looks simply fantastic on the Cayman - particularly on the uber-sporty GT4 models. If you want to stand out from the crowd, then this is the colour to go for. It’ll do a good job of masking any dust that you pick up on your travels, too - though more heavy duty muck will of course be more visible.
Porsche solid - White
Free
There’s not much wrong with simply opting for White on your Porsche 718 Cayman. It looks great on both the entry-level models, and the full-fat GT4. In summer time it’ll do a decent enough job of obscuring any light dust you’ll pick up from the road, but come winter it’ll be a tricky colour to keep looking clean.
Porsche metallic - Agate grey
£632
If a bold, punchy colour isn’t really for you, then the more reserved Agate grey might well be an appealing option. The 718 Cayman is a car that will always look inherently sporty, but Agate grey adds in an element of class too. Being a pretty conservative colour choice, Agate grey should make for stronger residual values too.
Porsche metallic - Aventurine Green
£632
Aventurine green is an extremely subtle shade of green. In fact, it almost looks grey in anything other than direct sunlight. Speaking of direct sunlight, it helps that metallic-effect finish to look properly snazzy. It’ll probably do a fairly decent job of masking any road dirt and grime, too.
Porsche metallic - Carrara white
£632
Carrara white is another classic Porsche colour, and one that the 718 Cayman wears incredibly well. It’s arguably a more appealing choice than the solid White option, owing to the fact that its metallic-effect finish really adds another level of snazziness to the sports car’s already attractive appearance. It’ll be tough to keep looking clean in winter, though.
Porsche metallic - Dolomite silver
£632
Now only available on used cars, Dolomite Silver is on the lighter end of the silver spectrum. It’s not quite as iconic as GT Silver, but models with this colour will be just as desirable as it was only available for two years.
Porsche metallic - Frozen berry
£632
Not currently available on new Caymans, Frozen Berry is an odd option, but one that’ll help your Cayman stand out from the rest. It’s not as in-your-face as Ruby Star, but may be easier to pick up on the used market at a lower price.
Porsche metallic - GT silver
£632
This sleek, vibrant shade of GT silver really looks the part on the 718 Cayman GTS. It’s sporty without being overly in-your-face, and will also prove to be one of the easier colour options to keep looking clean in the winter months. As an added bonus, silver cars tend to perform well when it comes to residual values too.
Porsche metallic - Gentian Blue
£632
This dark shade of Gentian blue looks great when applied to the 718 Cayman’s sporty exterior. For a super stealthy look you could elect to spec it with some darker grey alloy wheels, while the lighter silver alloy wheel options also look really smart. Dark blue paints do have a tendency to show up muck and grime in winter, however.
Porsche metallic - Jet Black
£632
If red, yellow or green are all colours that are a bit too ‘out there’ for your tastes, then Jet black metallic might be right up your street. It’s a far more subtle exterior colour for the Cayman, and one that will draw minimal attention. That being said, it’ll show up plenty of dirt in the winter months - so be prepared to work hard to keep it looking clean and shiny.
Porsche metallic - Night Blue
£632
The metallic Night Blue glints nicely in the sunlight, while the deep hue looks great in most conditions. Unavailable on new cars, this could be a desirable choice on the used market as it’s not too outlandish.
Porsche metallic - Vanadium Grey
£695
Porsche special metallic - Arctic grey
£1,658
In terms of how dark it is, Arctic grey sits somewhere in between Agate grey and the much more vibrant GT silver. It’s a classy shade that lends this excellent sports car a reserved, understated look - but that’s by no means to say it looks boring. Conservative colour choices like this will usually do a car’s residual value a big favour too, and it’ll help to minimise the amount of dirt that shows up in the winter.
Porsche special metallic - Carmine red
£1,658
Carmine red is a darker shade than the classic Guards red, but that’s not to say it looks any less sporty. Applied to the 718 Cayman, it makes this car look like a bonafide road racer. It might not be the most conservative colour option you could go for, but chances are it’ll still prove popular with used buyers, because it just looks fantastic.
Porsche special metallic - Crayon
£1,658
Porsche’s Crayon paint colour is a bit of a polarising option, largely because people often think it makes a car look as though it hasn’t been painted at all. That said, when applied to the 718 Cayman you’d have a pretty hard time arguing that it looks anything other than fantastic. Being a lighter colour, dirt and dust won’t be quite as visible either - which is always a good thing.
Porsche special metallic - Lava orange
£1,658
This slightly lighter orange looks especially good on the top-end Cayman models, like the GT4 or GTS, as they both have darker trim pieces. Louder colours normally don’t do so well on the used market, but Porsches can hold their value well.
Porsche special metallic - Miami Blue
£1,658
Looking better on the more aggressive versions of the Cayman, Miami Blue is a very bold option. Now not offered on new versions, you’ll be able to find it on the used market.
Porsche special metallic - Python green
£1,658
Python green is one of the loudest colours you can specify on the 718 Cayman, but it’s also one of the most memorable. In direct sunlight this vibrant colour looks incredible, and it makes the already impressively sporty-looking Cayman appear even sportier. Tricky to say whether it’ll prove popular on the used market in a few years’ time, however.
Porsche special metallic - Shark blue
£1,658
This vivid shade of Shark blue certainly isn’t for shrinking violets, and you certainly won’t miss it in a busy car park. Being so bold means it might not be the colour that springs straight to the top of your preference list, but as far as sports car colours go - it’s a pretty good one.
Porsche special metallic - Ice grey
£1,824
This special Porsche colour is more silver than grey, and is one of the lightest colour options that you can go for on the 718 Cayman. Despite being a more traditionally conservative colour choice, this shade of silver looks properly fantastic on the 718, and will look stunning in direct sunlight. It’ll also be easy to keep looking clean, and it’ll make for stronger residual values too.
Porsche special metallic - Ruby star neo
£1,824
Paint to sample colour - Custom
£6,986
Porsche’s paint to sample colour option offers you the chance to paint your 718 Cayman in any colour you want - but you’ll have to be prepared to pay for it, of course.
