Colour guide
Metallic - Decuma Grey
Free
There’s something classy about a metallic grey, and Decuma grey metallic really suits the Yaris Cross. It’s subtle but smart. Grey is a good choice if you are keeping one eye on the future value of the car when the time comes to sell it on.
Metallic - Eclipse Black
Free
Small SUVs are a bit like those terriers that have no idea how tiny they are and bark at big dogs. The Yaris Cross in Eclipse black has that feisty small canine vibe. It somehow seems tougher than in any of the other available colours.

Metallic - Juniper blue
Free
While vibrant paints are good matches for the Toyota Yaris Cross’ chunky styling, the almost-navy shade of Juniper Blue proves darker colours work well on the Toyota, too. It also helps that the metallic finish makes it glimmer in the sunshine - though the darker hue isn’t particularly great at disguising dirt and blemishes on the bodywork.
Metallic - Silver
Free
It must have been Friday afternoon at five when Toyota’s marketing people named this metallic paint colour Silver. Congratulations on your honesty, Toyota, but zero points for imagination. The colour works well with chunky styling of the Yaris Cross.
Metallic - Titan bronze
Free
Titan Bronze is perhaps the Yaris Cross’ most interesting colour, but that doesn’t mean we think it’ll be the most popular - most buyers will probably avoid this paint in favour of a less controversial black, grey or white. However, if Toyota ever does a rugged Adventure version of the Yaris Cross, then Titan Bronze could suit the car quite nicely indeed.
Metallic Bi-tone - Ash grey
Free
Only offered on the top-spec GR Sport, this grey is quite light and it contrasts well with the black roof and cladding around the bottom edge. As a no-cost option with the top-end version, it looks rather cool but it’s not the most exciting.
Metallic Bi-tone - Juniper blue
Free
Want to make Juniper Blue a bit more interesting on the Yaris Cross? You can give it the two-tone treatment, where the blue paint contrasts with a jet black roof. If this is a colour combo that you absolutely must have, do note it’s only available on the top-of-the-range GR Sport trim.
Metallic Bi-tone - Silver
Free
It’s not the most stand-out choice, but this arguably looks the best with the Yaris Cross. It’ll be a great colour for selling second-hand and also will be reasonably easy to look after.
Solid - Pure white
Free
You don’t have to pay a penny for paint if you choose Pure white for your Yaris Cross. It’s a solid paint, but works well with the Toyota’s half-pint SUV styling. White is a very popular colour, although there’s no denying the pearlescent white that’s available at extra cost looks even better.
Solid Bi-tone - Urban khaki
Free
Urban Khaki stands out for a couple different reasons on the Yaris Cross. Not only is it the car’s only green paint option, but it’s also exclusive to the Premiere trim level. It’s a shame that it only has a solid paint finish, so it lacks the sparkle and pizazz of the Yaris Cross’ other metallic and pearl effect paints.
Premium Bi-tone - Platinum white pearl
£285
Of the many two-tone paint finishes available on the Toyota Yaris Cross, this Platinum White one makes the most sense to us. After all, it’s very hard to not notice this colour scheme’s black two-tone roof. It isn’t too expensive to spec, either - though you’ll need to order one of the pricey GR Sport or Premiere models in order to have bi-tone Platinum White on your Yaris Cross.
Premium Bi-tone - Scarlet flare
£285
Scarlet Flare is already one of the Toyota Yaris Cross’ most eye-catching colours, and the two-tone black roof makes it more distinctive still. It works especially well with the more aggressive styling of the GR Sport trim - which is useful, as that’s the only spec this colour combo is available on.
Premium paint - Platinum white pearl
£285
In contrast with the solid Pure White paint, Platinum White is a bit more interesting and intriguing to look at. This is mainly thanks to the paint’s pearl effect, which gives it a deep finish that’s at its best under bright sunlight. No amount of fancy finishes will stop Platinum White from being a dirt magnet, so it’ll need regular washing to keep looking as pristine as possible.
Premium paint - Scarlet flare
£285
Want a striking paint for your new Toyota Yaris Cross? Then you’ll probably want to keep Scarlet Flare on your radar, as there’s a strong case for it being the car’s most eye-catching colour option. This bright colour doesn’t disguise dirt very well, though, so it’ll require lots of cleaning if you want to keep the car in its vivid best.
