Solid - Moonstone grey
Free
Keeping a close eye on how much you spend? Then Moonstone grey is going to interest you as the only free-of-charge paint finish available to Arteon buyers. As solid colours go it’s nice enough, but we’d be inclined to spend the extra for a metallic or pearlescent finish on a car as stylish as the Arteon.

Metallic - Manganese grey
£650
There is no more popular colour than grey for British new car buyers. So if you choose Manganese grey metallic for your Arteon, you’ll be in good company. The understated but stylish Arteon really suits monochrome paint finishes, and this dark grey lends the design a more purposeful edge.
Metallic - Pyrite Silver
£650
The Arteon looks smart and businesslike in Pyrite silver metallic. There are more exciting colours to choose, but you can’t argue that silver doesn’t suit the car. It hides dirt well and is a sound bet for easy resale in a few years.
Pearl - Deep black
£650
Pearlescent paints have ceramic rather than metallic particles to catch the light. The depth of finish with a high-quality pearlescent paint is usually a cut above a metallic paint, and Deep black pearl looks superb. If there’s a downside to choosing this colour, it’s that black cars show the dirt and need regular cleaning to look at their best.
Metallic - Kingfisher blue
£680
You can count yourself lucky if you see a kingfisher in the wild. Likewise, we haven’t seen lots of Kingfisher blue metallic Arteons on the road. We wouldn’t rule this colour out, though. It’s a bold and eyecatching choice and makes an appealing change from the default choice greys and silvers.
Signature metallic - Kings red
£815
An average red paint belongs on Postaman Pat’s van, not a premium car like the Arteon. Fortunately the Kings red signature metallic is a cut above most crimson shades. It’s a deep and lustrous red that stands out from all the grey and black cars you see on the roads. The colour turns heads without being over the top.
Signature metallic - Oryx white
£1,120
Oryx white is one of the more expensive paint finishes you can choose for your VW Arteon. It’s hard to do the colour justice on a computer or phone screen – you have to see Oryx white in the metal to appreciate the depth of finish. The quality of the paint is excellent.
