Trim levels for the Tayron start with Life specification, bringing with it 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, parking sensors and park assist plus as well as adaptive cruise control and wireless phone charging. Inside you’ll find ambient lighting and a 10.3-inch digital dashboard to go with the 12.9-inch infotainment display.

Elegance features a few upgrades over Life spec, with 19-inch wheels and additional park assist cameras, heated and massaging front seats, an electric tailgate and keyless entry and drive.

If you’re after a sportier Tayron, R-Line has you covered. It’s a step above Elegance and Match with 20-inch wheels, R-Line sports bumpers, 30-colour switchable interior lighting, tinted rear windows, sports seats in a velour-like fabric and an illuminated VW logo at the front of the car.

Match is more expensive than Elegance, but that’s not to say it’s a ‘better’ trim level. Park assist pro, a panoramic sunroof, privacy rear windows and an electric tailgate make the Match a more comfortable car versus the Life, day to day.

R-Line edition is the top of the range Tayron, adding a panoramic sunroof, directional 20-inch diamond cut wheels, keyless entry, an electronic tailgate, Park Assist Pro, Adaptive Chassis Control and chrome trims to the R-Line spec. The 201hp engine is the crown jewel, with 54hp over the R-Line.
