Fiat 500X sizes and dimensions guide
March 30, 2016 by carwow staff
The 500X is Fiat’s entry into the lucrative crossover market. It applies classic styling cues from the much loved 500 supermini to a larger, more practical car. Read our 500X sizes and dimensions guide to see exactly how it measures up against rivals including the Nissan Juke and Mini Countryman.
If you’ve decided this is the car for you, our Fiat 500X car configurator can help you get a great deal on one. Not sold? Check out our list of the best small SUVs on sale.
Fiat 500X exterior dimensions
In terms of exterior size, the 500X sits between the Fiat 500 supermini and the larger Fiat 500L MPV. Compared to rival crossovers, it’s larger than the Nissan Juke and the Mini Countryman in all respects.
Length | 4,248mm |
Width including mirrors | 2,025 mm |
Height | 1,600mm |
Fiat 500X interior dimensions
The 500X’s interior is roughly the same size as an average family hatchback but, in the company of small SUV crossovers, it’s not class-leading. Tall passengers might struggle to sit comfortably in the back but at least there’s plenty of space and lots of cubbies – it even comes with two gloveboxes.
Fiat 500X boot space
The 500X offers 350 litres of boot space – more than the Nissan Juke or Mini Countryman. Lower the rear seats, however, and you’ll have access to a 1,000-litre load area. The lack of a boot lip means loading bulky items should be relatively easy.
Boot space seats up | 350 litres |
Boot space seats folded | 1,000 litres |
Fiat 500X fuel tank and turning circle
Every Fiat 500X model has a 48-litre fuel tank, allowing you to travel between 505 and 649 miles depending on which engine you select. The 500X’s turning circle is 11 metres – not as manoeuvrable as the Nissan Juke but it does turn more tightly than the Mini Countryman.
Fuel tank capacity | 48 litres |
Turning circle | 11 metres |
Fiat 500X weight and towing limits
If you’re looking to regularly tow a trailer, the more powerful 1.4-litre MultiAir petrol and 1.6 and 2.0-litre diesel engines are your best options. All three boast a towing limit of 1,200 kg when using a braked trailer. Both the 1.4 and 1.6-litre models weigh in at 1,320kg, while the more powerful 2.0-litre diesel tips the scales at 1,400kg.
Maximum weight | 1,400kg |
Towing limits (un-braked/braked) | 600kg/1,200kg |
