Drag race: BMW M5 CS vs Ferrari 812 Superfast

What happens when you pitch a super saloon against a supercar? That’s what today’s drag race finds out.
Facing off here is the BMW M5 CS, the ultimate iteration of the model, against the Ferrari 812 Superfast.
Powering the M5 CS is a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 635hp and 750Nm of torque. That’s a little down on the 812, granted, which has 800hp but a little less torque at 720Nm.
However, the M5 uses an all-wheel-drive system that should give it a traction advantage over the rear-driven Ferrari. Weight is pretty similar too, with both coming in at 1,825kg.
