Drag race: Mercedes S500 vs Tesla Model S 100D

Which do you fancy more in a drag race — the Mercedes S500 or Tesla Model S? Well, today’s video is here to answer that.
This battle of luxury sees petrol and electric face-off, with these two very different takes on big saloons making for a tantalising matchup.
The Mercedes S500 is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six, producing 435hp and 520Nm of torque. It sends power to all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic gearbox, with the total weight of the S500 coming in at 2,065kg.
Powering the Model S is a set of motors, one on each axle, kicking out 600hp and 660Nm of torque. It may be more powerful than the S500, but it’s carrying more weight too — coming in at 2,290kg.
