Drag race: MotoGP bike vs 1100hp Lamborghini Huracan
August 05, 2022 by Jamie Edkins
Can a pure-bred race bike really be a match for a tuned Lamborghini Huracan? Today, let’s find out.
Mat’s behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder for this drag race. As standard, it has a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 engine with 640hp, however the folks at JM Imports clearly thought this wasn’t enough. To remedy this, they’ve fitted it with a couple of whopping turbochargers, upping the power to a more impressive 1,100hp. This is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, sending power to all four wheels. As for the weight, the big Lambo tips the scales at 1,507kg.
That’s quite a lot more than the bike it’s going up against. The Red Bull Racing KTM RB16 weighs just 200kg, and that’s with legendary rider Dani Pedrosa on it. Itn has a 1.0-litre V4 engine, putting out 270hp and 120Nm of torque. More than enough when you’ve only got one wheel to put the power down.
So which of these machines will come out on top? You’ll have to watch the video to find out.
