Drag race: Porsche Cayman GTS vs Alpine A110 Toyota Supra

It’s time for a battle of the sports cars as the Porsche Cayman GTS, Alpine A110 and Toyota Supra go head to head down the ¼ mile.

First up, let’s take a look at the Porsche Cayman GTS. It has a mid-mounted 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six engine with 400hp and 420nm of torque. It’s got rear wheel drive and is the only car here with a manual gearbox. The Porsche weighs 1,405kg.

Next up we have the Alpine A110. It’s the lightest car here, weighing in at 1,114kg, however it’s also the least powerful. Its 1.8-litre turbocharged engine puts out 290hp and 320nm of torque. This goes to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Finally, we have the Toyota Supra. It has a BMW derived 3.0-litre straight six turbocharged engine with 340hp and 500nm of torque. This is put down through an eight-speed automatic gearbox to the rear wheels. It is the heaviest car here, coming in at 1,495kg.
