It’s time for an all-electric drag race, and we’ve gathered some of the fastest EVs you can buy.
Mat’s behind the wheel of the Tesla Model 3 Performance for this race. It has dual electric motors which send 460hp and 660Nm of torque to all four wheels. As for weight, the Model 3 is the lightest car here at 1,844kg.
Lining up next to the Tesla is the Kia EV6 GT. It also has dual motors and all wheel drive, and they put out 585hp and 740Nm torque. The Kia tips the scales at a hefty 2,200kg, but it’s not as hefty as the BMW iX M60 parked next to it.
That car weighs in at 2,584kg, but it has plenty of power to make up for it. The dual motors put out 619hp and 1,100Nm of torque, sent to all four wheels.
Next up is the Audi RS e-tron GT. Its dual motors send 646hp and 830Nm of torque to all four wheels via a two-speed gearbox, none of the other cars have that. The Audi weighs 2,347kg.
Finally, let’s take a look at the Tesla Model X. It has 778hp and 1,140Nm of torque from its two electric motors, sending the power to all four wheels. It’s pretty heavy though at 2,485kg.
So which of these big EVs will dominate the quarter mile? You’ll have to watch the video to find out.
