Used Mercedes A-Class

The A-Class started out as a super-practical small car, with lots of space for its size. More recent models have dialled down the practicality in favour of more desirable looks and a cabin with real wow-factor. These are pricey cars for the room they offer, though, and a bigger boot would be useful.

Used Mercedes CLA

Think of a Venn diagram with style in one circle and practicality on the other. You’ll find the Mercedes CLA at the point where the style circle just begins to overlap the other. This four-door coupé looks fantastic inside and out, and it has room for five although the rear seats are cramped. It’s a high-tech car, but an expensive used buy.

Used Mercedes GLA

If you need a car that’s similar in size to the A-class, but want an SUV rather than a hatchback, the GLA could be for you. It’s a good-looking car, although some alternatives are more fun to drive and the boot could be bigger. Strengths include a great infotainment system and lots of room in the back seats.

Used Mercedes GLC

A used Mercedes GLC is an alternative to a BMW X3 or an Audi Q5. It’s a family-friendly SUV with space inside for five. The ride is comfortable and the GLC makes a brilliant motorway cruiser. The equivalent BMW is more fun, though, and the Merc is an expensive choice compared to mid-sized SUVs from less upmarket brands.

The C-Class is a classy and comfortable executive car. Take your pick from saloons and estates. Either way, this is quite an expensive used car although if you think of it as a shrunken S-Class suddenly the price isn’t so unreasonable. Recent models are crammed full of tech and look as elegant on the inside as they do on the outside.
